New app possibilities on the horizon with UrtheCast

One of the things that we are most excited about are the various apps that will be created for UrtheCast. When you think about it, a camera streaming live HD video of Earth has an endless road of possibilities when it comes to building applications for users.
Here are some of the ideas that have been kicking around the office.
- An app that allows you to take video/pictures with your cell phone, upload them to the UrtheCast website using tags, and then have those sync via geotagging
- An app that would allow you to find all of the coffee shops, restaurants, on the UrtheCast image you are viewing
- An Educational app that brings up relevant historical, political, and social data about what you are viewing
- An audio app that allows people to add their own audio to videos and images
This list could go on and on, however, one thing we are aware of is the fact that a thousand minds put together, is far better than 10 minds. So here we are, planting the seed, so that you all can start brainstorming on different applications that will blow the world away.
